Mononaftis beach is located 28 km northwest of the city of Heraklion, in Agia Pelagia.
It is a beautiful small beach with pebbles and turquoise waters. The bottom is rocky. The beach is organized with umbrellas, chairs shower and very close there are cafes, restaurants, rooms for rent and large hotels that fill the beach with people. The beach has takes its name from the sole survivor of a shipwreck had been here. South Mononaftis beach is Psaromoura beach.
