Limanakia beach is located 40 km south of the town of Agios Nikolaos and 1 km west of Ierapetra.
The beach has coarse sand, and rocks while the bottom is rocky with little crowded. The beach is not organized at all and there are no amenities other than a canteen. Amidst the beach there is a small canal that ends in a small pond, the naval battle.
