Kokkines Plakes beach

Kokkines Plakes beach (Red Plates) is located 71 km south of the city of Heraklion west of the settlement Platia Peramata.
Platia Peramata is a small rural village full of greenhouses for growing vegetables with a few rooms for rent. Kokkines Plakes beach is small but beautiful beach with thick sand and rocks, while the bottom is rocky. The water are crystal clear. The beach has very little people and they are mainly locals. On the beach there are no facilities.
